WHEELER RELAYS – TRACK & FIELD UPDATE

Coaches' Summaries of the Wheeler Relays -

The Girls Track and Field Season opened on Saturday, February 23rd, at the 13th annual Wheeler Relays.   The girls got off to a great start with many athletes contributing stellar performances.

The 4 X 800 team of Brooke Koblitz, Alex Fulmer, Marnie Williams and Dana Zimmerer scored with a 5th place finish. A 6th place finish was also recorded by the Distance Medley team of Brooke Koblitz, Marnie Williams, Dana Zimmerer and Chelsa Little.

Personal best performances were also handed in by Amada Burnside with a Long Jump effort of 13-09, Alex Fulmer with a 29-10 Triple Jump, and Chelsa Little with a toss of 26-10 in the Shot Put!

This past weekend, the Boys Track Team finished in the middle of the pack at the Wheeler Relays placing 14th out of 22 schools.

Paul Clark finished 4th in Pole Vault with a vault of 12 feet.

Our Distance Team performed well in all races! The 4x800m team comprised of Daniel Munoz, Brandon Black, Julian Black, and Matt Uhlman placed 4th with a time of 8:26.98, and thus established a new school record.  Also, our 4x1600 team of Julian Black, Drew Murdock, Ryan Knobbe, and Matt Uhlman finished 6th with a PR of 19:57.25!
