Coaches' Summaries
of the Meet -
The boys' and girls' track teams defeated
Riverwood and Dunwoody in this season's home opener Wednesday
evening. The Knights finished with a combined 132.5 points,
followed by Dunwoody with 109.5 and Riverwood with 98 points.
The Knights were paced by record-breaking performances from
Martin Jenkins and Ashley Rosenberg. Ashley Rosenberg continued
her dominance at the pole vault as she bested her own school
record with a vault of 8-6! Martin Jenkins was on fire as
he smashed two school records with a blazing fast 10.78 to
best his own 100 meter time and a new school best 22.305 in
the 200 meters! Martin also pulled the 4X100m relay team that
included Antonio Morgan, Tola Adediran, and Ricardo Dunbar
to a first place finish with an incredible dash as he anchored
the last leg of that race.
Other first place performances were contributed by the following
athletes:
" Brooke Koblitz with a 5:48 mile.
" Brandi Carter cleared 4'8" in the high jump.
" Kelsey Patterson with a 70'4" toss in the discus.
" Julian Black won the mile in 4:43.27 (Brandon Black
was second with 4:43.96.)
" Donte Clark won the 300m hurdles in 44.268.
Thanks to all the parents who volunteered their time to make
our home meet such a success!
