CROSS COUNTRY FOOTNOTES August 13th, 2010
PRACTICE SCHEDULE:
Summer practice is over! Practice will now be held at 4 pm each weekday, with the following exceptions: Wednesday August 18th, practice will be held at 7 am due to the open house in the afternoon. Also starting the SECOND week of school, BOYS will have MORNING MORNING on TUESDAYS and GIRLS will have morning practice on WEDNESDAYS. They have the afternoon off on the day that they run in the mornings. The coaches will let you know what time morning practice begins.
Please remember to let the coaches know in advance if you can't be at practice.
TIME TRIALS:
The time trial dates are Friday August 20th and Friday August 27th. All returning athletes must improve on last year's time in order to run in the first meet. You will only have these two chances to run the time trial so it is important to be there.
MERRILL KING 5 K race:
Just a reminder- The Merrill King 5k race is being held at 8am tomorrow at Roswell High School . Everyone is encouraged to run this race as a tune up!

ADDITION TO THE MEET SCHEDULE:
The coaches have added The Border Clash meet for Tuesday September 14th. This meet will either be varsity only or top 24 boys/20 girls. The coaches will let you know who is going closer to the meet.
PASTA DINNERS AND SNACKS FOR THE MEETS: HELP NEEDED!!
We traditionally have a pasta dinner for the team on the Friday evening before a Saturday meet. One family will host the dinner, then other families sign up to send an item with their athlete. We usually have sign up for this at registration, but since registration is so close to the first meet this year, I am going to ask you to start signing up by email.
Our family will host the first dinner on September 3rd.
Here is what we will need to feed our runners:
Pasta dishes
Caesar salads
Fruit salad
Rolls and bread
Non-carbonated drinks and water
Desserts

Our other pasta dinner dates will be September 10th, September 24th, October 1st, October 15th, October 22nd and October 29th.
Please email me if you would like to host on any of those dates and email Kathy if you can send food!
We purchase non perishable snacks out of the cross country funds but ask the parents provide the perishable snacks- mini bagels, grapes and bananas. We need SNACKS for ALL MEETS. Please email me and let me know which meets you can help with, especially the Berry Meet on September 4th!
The meet dates are Sept 4th, Sept, 11th, Sept 14th, Sept 21 or 22nd, Sept 25th, Oct 2nd, Oct 15th, Oct 22nd and Oct 30th.
